Spot
Dog of the week

This gorgeous guy is looking for a new home and a new name. "Spot" just doesn't adequately describe this marvelous merled and muscular male. Spot is a five year old, 75 lb Aussie/Great Pyrenees mix. He has excellent house manners, housebroken, politely waits for meals and treats, rides well in the car, and loves to be loved. His ideal day includes patrolling the yard for invading squirrels, spending an hour romping at the dog run, taking a brief nap after lunch, going to the bank (they have dog biscuits!), and snuggling with his person before bedtime. Spot has the curiosity and intelligence of an Aussie and the determination of a Pyr, so he loves a challenge and can be a bit mischievous. A fenced yard is a necessity. He generally gets along well with other dogs at the park, but he would prefer to be the only dog in a home. Because of his size, he doesn't do well with small children or small animals. He knows the basic commands but could use some additional obedience training and has good potential for several dog sports. Despite his size and energy level, Spot's favorite moments are when his human scratches his tummy and behind his ears… When he can look deep into your eyes and see love reflected back at him… When you toss him a ball and he catches it and gives it right back so you can toss it again. He is such a lover!! Spot will be neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, and fully vetted before adoption.
